I need a software for Auto standy for my Surfboard cable modem (Motorola). Kindly guide me in the right direction. I have already searched google but could not find any.

Not sure how useful that would be. It should be possible to put it into standby mode without using the button, but you'd still have to use the button to bring it out of standby mode. You can't toggle standby mode remotely because the modem won't be listening for the wakeup command.
