I screwed it....

Like I do with my windows xp, when I install I remove the common user leaving only the Administrator.

So, I went on "computer management" and removed the common user. I didnt delete the folder.

Now I cant log in on vista. (it does not recognize the password but I didnt set any)

This pc has dual boot ( XP and Vista ) so I can access vista partition but I dont know what to do.

I know I cant repair but I want to know if there is a faster-simpler way.

Anyone know?

No, I can't tell you how to repair that @%#*&$ !!!

But what I can suggest, is that you make a backup image of that drive when you finally get it fixed, or reinstalled, so when something else happens, you can just do a Restore of your backup image and go on like nothing ever happened.

Good Luck, I hope you get it fixed.

By default the administrator account is disabled - so what you've effectively done is disable all ways of logging into the system by removing the only active account with admin access. Your options are to reinstall, or use WinRE from the Vista install DVD to recover. Both will be painful :).

after you format put this in a command prompt before deleting the normal user:

net user administrator /active:yes

It might be a good idea to open cmd with administrator rights when you do this.
