pcandpc
Hi,I am using vista home basic. My display is not nicely squared; I have tried setting different monitor controls, using different graphic cardsand crt monitors, but the display is always tilted on cornersdiagonally on one monitor and shrinked on the right sideon another monitor.I have looked into the monitor driver updates, but theyare years older than the current drivers provided by vista.Besides, neither of the two crt monitors offers vista driverson their websites. Is there something else I can try? Thanks. puntoMX
Can you show us a picture? Sounds more like bad CRT screens to me...
pcandpc
Hi,Thanks for your interest in this issue.Well, the display distortion is not that serious butsomewhat noticeable.Looking horizontally across the top, the gap betweenthe edge of the monitor and the edge of the top left window corner is nearly twice bigger to that of the right side.Viewing vertically on the right side, the gap betweenthe top right corner window and the edge of the topright corner of the monitor is almost twice bigger tothat of the bottom right. In other words, imagine a viewing window displayand the top left was pushed down a little bit andthe top right was pushed to left a little.By the way, is there a tool in vista that allows tocapture the current viewing window along withthe edges of the monitor?I think both crt monitors may be almost to their endsin their lives. Could this tilted display view be indicative of that?
Kelsenellenelvian
No screen capture tool will get that for us you would have to use a digital camera. Yes your monitors are going out. Have you pushed your monitors controls as far as you can? Most of them will allow corner control and fix that for you.
Ponch
Is there something else I can try?Moving the whole thing to a different part of the room could show if it's not linked to electro-magnetic fields. Not kidding.
