knockout
hey, guys, first of all, many thanks to nuhi.Days ago, after removing some components of my vista_business, I tried to install it from harddisk using winpe, before installation starts, a error message popup stating a required CD/DVD driver is missing and prompt me to install it from a flopy disk or local harddrive even i drag DVD-ROM out of my laptop, this message still appears.Did any quys meet this problem? Jeronimo
Installation from HD should not be a problem. I always install my vLite'd Windows as a test to a secondary partition. If all is well I boot from that partition, whipe all non-essential files (except Boot directory)from the primary (using takeown and cacls to gain proper access) and in the same run I install the same vLite'd Windows to the primary partition. If something should go wrong, then I can still boot into Windows.
nuhi
knockout, if normally it works then only thing that can cause that is Storage Controller removal, keep the one your Laptop uses.
Legolash2o
better yet... hide the storage controller your laptop uses so you can never delete it (unless you unhide it ofcourse) also do this to your printer drivers which use built in vista drivers lol.
