and then with vlite removed few components[tablet pc defender..]

and its all right

but when i use winsxs removal [extreme option]

the system keep rebooting over and over even its said 100% done

tho vlite stopped support windows server 2008

its would be wonderful to get same help :)

[what files should i recover ?]

then my installation space will take just 1.6giga[from 2.7giga & 64bit here i come ]

thx for any help

Don't remove anything with vLite in Server 2008, removals are not supported for now, maybe won't ever be, just configurations and integrations.

People who use Windows Server shouldn't remove components anyway and it has some sort of component configuration anyway. Because it is not individual feature per component is the reason why I left it for now in the first place, meaning for example if you remove one of five components from the certain feature the whole feature adding fails and that would require totally new component selection for Server, too much fuss for a handful of people who think that Server is somehow better than Vista SP1.

@ MagicAndre1981

i did configure and install with pkgmgr.exe [offline installation]

so the files from winsxs already did "their job"

@nuhi

no, normaly it would create some entries inside the pending.xml inside the WinSxS folder with the files which should be installed, but you removed them, so the Setup hangs during Pass 3
