underoath7402 Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 So I needed vista to fit on a cd-r so i removed basically everything. Including WMP since I figured I could just re download it after the install and that would be it. But it won't install. Has anyone had this problem and can tell me how you can get it to install?
suryad Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 I have had this problem before but with XP so I am not sure if this will help you 100% but there is an option to remove WMP 6.4 in XP and I never remove that unless I am going to update to the WMP 11. If I remove that for sure WMP wont install.
Kelsenellenelvian Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Redo the whole thing and choose the option at the iso screen to split it into cd sized chunks. Then you will have a 2-3 cd install of Vista. You are NOT getting WMP11 back on that install.
