Masta #2 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Hey FolksMy computers On-Board Sound died so i placed parts of it in a new Computer.I replaced : A Soundcard ( Advance Logic ALS4000 )... 2 Harddrives from old computer ...Videocard from old computer and placed New RAM from a other old computer. ( 256 + 256 + 128)Now the computer starts a little. It goes to where Windows Loading Screen should start and then it stays Black or it gives a message : Wrong Systemdisket place other...Does annybody knows what's wrong ?Greets and Happy X-Mas

submix8c Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 2 hard disks... got 'em hooked up rite? one primary master (at end of connector) and one primary slave (in the middle), the primary master being the one with the system on it? the message usually means that the MBR can't be found on the boot drive. last question... did you leave a non-boot floppy in the floppy drive (same result will occur)?just sounds like when you moved the 2 hard disks over, you may have accidentally put them on the cable/connectors wrong...
