videobruce
I just did a fresh install and find that all the folders in both my partitions (XP sp2) are read only including ones in 'D' drive. When I go to uncheck "Read only" it doesn't stick.I never encountered this before. Some services were disabled durning the nLite procedure, but not removed. Security center is off. Any ideas here?? videobruce
Any ideas here? Is it that a service is stopped or something else? Edited December 26, 2007 by videobruce
holtzboy
I remember a few years ago I encountered the 'read only' issues you are talking about. It turns out this is 100% normal and will be the same on any Windows XP pc. Goto any other computer that has Windows XP and right click on any folder and read only will be light gray checked. It shouldn't affect anything.
videobruce
Yes, I see that now. It was I just thought it was another 'weird' deal with nLite and/or I checked or unchecked something.
