TracyH
I am having trouble with 1 of my XP Media Edition 2002 SP2 machines. When I try to run the iTunes install program or the install program for MySpace IM I get an error saying riched20.dll is not found (but I found it in the i386 and the Microsoft Office folders). Then the iTunes install comes up with an 2895 error, that no one is able to help with at apple. It looks like others have been getting a similar problem and it is somehow related to the other install issue with the riched20.dll file.PLEASE HELP me someone. I have bought my son a new iPod for Christmas and I can't get the software installed for him.
vinodh
It is possible that a virus/malware may have infected your system and corrupted that file. Scan your system and ensure it is clean. If you do find a virus, clean it and then replace it with a clean version. If you are confident that your system is clean, do the following:Could you please navigate to “%windir%\system32\” and check whether these 2 files exist:riched20.dll and riched32.dll If they exist, please open a command prompt with administrator privilege and run the following command to re-register these 2 dll files:Regsrv32 %windir%\system32\riched20.dll /iRegsrv32 %windir%\system32\riched32.dll /i
