Fr33m4n Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 (edited) I just created a new nlited disk which i was planning on installing today, but for the first time I was adding a new component. The WMP11 slipstreamer, so I decided to test it in VMware first and during installation I got this error message:unregmp2.exe - Unable to locate componentThis application has failed to start because WMDRMSDK.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.Has anyone encountered this error before or know what's wrong? After i log on I also get this error message:RUNDLLError loading srclient.dllThe specified module could not be found.Anyone have some info on that? mr_smartepants Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 I'm also getting this error and it's driving me crazy!I'm integrating in this order:Ryan's 2.2.1b update pack via RVMIWMP11 via WMP slipstreamer .96 (tried via nlite, no change)All WMP11 hotfixes as listed on boooggy's website as of today.IE7 via nlite as hotfixNO ADDONSno tweaks/removals, only unattended tweaks via nlite.ISO tested in VPC and real hardware.Tried integrating all under XP or Vista environments, all no help.I've never had this problem before with previous versions of WMP slipstreamer/nlite.I wish I had older versions to verify, but I erased the older installers when I upgraded.Help!
Fr33m4n Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 Well. I was googleing this issue and trying all kinds of methods to get it to work. Eventually I uninstalled nLite, went over to the nliteos website and grabbed an older version of nLite. Then i took my SP2 XP pro and used this older nLite to add addons, drivers, tweaks and remove stuff. Then I added WMP 11 and then I tested it in VMware, and guess what. Everything worked. I think there is something fishy about the last release, at least when it comes to WMP 11. So try grabbing an older copy of nLite and see if that does the trick. It did for me.
