Arie
Rip the boot image from your original installation CD-ROM and use that for your own CD-ROM. You can use BBIE.EXE for example.

Arie
i did that but it snot wokringcant i get smthing in more detail? Are you certain that the boot order in your BIOS is set correctly? Do you really try to boot from CD-ROM and not simply from another medium? Does the disc work within a virtual environment such as Microsoft Virtual PC 2007? If the disc doesn't work within a virtual environment, your CD-ROM does indeed not contain a bootsector. If you want to get something in more detail, you'll have to provide more details yourself, such as answer all these questions and explain what you have done and where you get stuck; did you use BBIE.EXE, did you burn the disc using Nero for example and how did you do this exactly then? spacesurfer
Simpler - create an iso of your original xp cd. then, using the ISO editor, delete all the files and add your new sp2 files. then save and burn.deleting all files will do nothing to the boot sector.
