pele Posted January 31, 2002 Share Posted January 31, 2002 Anyone out there using a netcam or capture card w/camcorder for video conferencing and msn messenger? I've tried an old 3com digital netcam and an ATI TV Wonder PCI card with a camcorder. No luck. I can get netmeeting to work with the 3com but not for long. Would like to find a good video capture card to hook my camcorder too as picture quality is much improved. The ATI card isnt recognized in device manager and this is a known problem with the card and XP according to ATI. In MSN Messenger there is a "start camera" button but cant get that to work at all. Big Booger Posted February 1, 2002 Share Posted February 1, 2002 Logitech worked great for me, only the name here in Japan is logicool. Used it with XP and Yahoo and MSN messenger. worked like a charm. I think you just need to get you a nice cheap web cam, and use the camcorder for recording video.
