leozack
Aww it seems I've run out of ideas and stuff to get a working build
Kaneda
why don't you go step-by-step to find the error? Just make sure between each step that the current version works!1. Only Hotfixes.2. then all Hotfixes, IE7 and WMP113. next one is .Net framework, maybe each one also step by step, first 1 and 2, then later if it all works 3.4. now add your tweaks, still everything ok?5. then now add addons and stuff.this way you will see which step screws it up...And of course, everythime start with a fresh source, and to be safe reload the last preset (to make sure you fully repead the last step)...If it is still really the .NET install, try to make your CD without, then go to WinUpdate and install it. Does it work this way?Because if not, the reason is something else on your CD. If it works via update, then something is relaly wrong with the way you integrate it... leozack
I think I'll try the same as last time but take out the dotnet's and the tooltip fixer that requires it and see what happens?
Kaneda
well, you can either go step-bystep backwards from your current preset until it works, or you start at the beginning adn go forward until it breaks. Depending on how much you changed and what kind of tweaks you did, you gotta decide which is the bette one...

(file attached)I installed off this and all is well, though winupdate shows another WGA addon to do along with the latest WMSRT, neither of which I can integrate if I'm correct?I gave up trying to integrate the tooltipfixer addon as it needed dotnet andI couldn't get that to work right. However, on the apparently working fresh install I checked the eventlog and found windows setup had encountered non-fatal errors. I checked the settuperr.log in c:\windows and it had this. Is any of this a problem? Is it all expected and ignorable?Setup could not register the OLE Control C:\WINDOWS\system32\mshtml.dll because of the following error:GetProcAddress returned error 127 (the specified procedure could not be found).Error:Setup could not register the OLE Control C:\WINDOWS\system32\msrating.dll because of the following error:GetProcAddress returned error 127 (the specified procedure could not be found).Error:Setup could not register the OLE Control C:\WINDOWS\system32\inseng.dll because of the following error:GetProcAddress returned error 127 (the specified procedure could not be found).Error:Setup could not register the OLE Control C:\WINDOWS\system32\plugin.ocx because of the following error:LoadLibrary returned error 126 (the specified module could not be found).Error:Setup could not register the OLE Control C:\WINDOWS\system32\webcheck.dll because of the following error:GetProcAddress returned error 127 (the specified procedure could not be found).Error:Setup could not register the OLE Control C:\WINDOWS\system32\imgutil.dll because of the following error:GetProcAddress returned error 127 (the specified procedure could not be found).Error:Setup could not register the OLE Control C:\WINDOWS\system32\pngfilt.dll because of the following error:GetProcAddress returned error 127 (the specified procedure could not be found).Error:Setup detected that the system file named [c:\windows\system32\sfcfiles.dll] is not signed properlyby Microsoft.
