sonofnet Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Guys, the program is great! But I've almost died pushing escape key when windows was copying its files! I've removed all hlp files and windows asked me to push esc to continue copying files! How do I get rid of it?Q2: how do I remove some folders right after install? should I use RunOnceCmd? What about links in the start menu?

How do I get rid of it?I honestly have no clue what you're on about?Q2: how do I remove some folders right after install? should I use RunOnceCmd? What about links in the start menu? You can use a batch script for that, which you can launch via RunOnceEx.
Ponch Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 What about links in the start menu?1st level links can also be managed in the "customize" (last) section of nLite.
sonofnet Posted November 29, 2007 Author Posted November 29, 2007 Thx for explanation about the .bat files. But another problem is: when u install windows, u choose to format ur partition, then windows is copying files to ur hdd. As I've removed all .htm/.chm files it asks every time do I really want to continue install without the nessesary *.chm file. And I need to push ESC key every time windows comes across some .chm file.Is it possible to cope with this?
newsposter Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 exactly how did you 'remove' the help system and chm files?
sonofnet Posted November 29, 2007 Author Posted November 29, 2007 It is the 7th step after drivers: components u would like to remove. I've selected "help engine". Completed other steps (I've chosen fully automated unattended mode), and burned the iso. After that when I start installing my windows. I format the disc into ntfs. Then windows starts copying files from the cd. As soon as it finds some .chm files it brings the error, and 3 choices - to push F3 - to exit setup, ESC to skip copying this file and ENTER to try copying this component again.
newsposter Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 and the original OS, any addons, hotpacks, and service packs are ALL the same language, yes?
