DNS Client service

Featured Replies

ok now im xonfused. DNS Client service is supposed to resolve dns.

But every internet-app i use works without it.

DNSClient service hasnt been active for like months and never had problems (i cant start it because i get access denied, i think the service login is screwed).

I can still use MSN, firefox, ie, no problems

DNSClient is important when your computer is part od Active Directory domain.

In cooperation DNS <-> Active Driectory there used "dynamic" DNS items, ie. computer starts and Active Directory creates new DNS items for it.
