you're right, but updating definitions for machines that are not always connected to internet or ones that must work offline is a good security measure that never hurts.

that's why i need it... install for user who dun even have any internet...

... and how install Smart Security with "allow sharing"? because after SS is instaled complete blocking my network :/

try searching the registry, maybe you can set it to allow using a reg file.

you can find the update files in (%allusersprofile%\Application Data\ESET\ESET Smart Security\Updfiles\)

and if you extract the .msi installer you will also find an update files in (...\APPDATADIR\Updfiles\)

So i think the best way to update the virus defination is to replace the update files in the .msi installer with the new update files.But i don't know how Replace files in an '.msi' installer ?

have you tried to make an AIP (administrative install point)? this way you can replace the files easily before installing.
