jarthel Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 do I need language packs:1. to view websites in their native language? e.g. viewing korean websites would display text in the korean characters2. be able to type korean text in apps like wordIn WinXP, I was able to do these 2 things after installing the built-in language packs.thank you.
cluberti Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 The built-in IME packs (like in XP) modify the ability to view and enter text INSIDE of applications. You only need the actual Language MUI packs if you want to change the text in the OS or applications themselves.

I can't remember seeing an option to install them during setup (unlike WinXP)?Thanks again
