awergh
im trying to run a dedicated server for ut99 and so i opened some ports on the speedtouch modem and in ipcop 1.4.16and there server displays in the list (has "stuff" in the title if you want to check if it is there)but you dont get any info like on a normal server, so i think i need to enable ping responses but im not sure how to do that.(Software Release: 4.2.7.16.0) Edited November 4, 2007 by awergh
nitroshift
I am using a speedtouch myself and I know that i had to bind the connection to a local NIC in order to properly set the forwarding.

nitroshift
http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33869884 might give you a head start, then click on "Assign a game or application to a local network device" and select the pc. Hope this helps, if not shout back here
awergh
"Assign a game or application to a local network device"dont have this option.ive opened ports for ut and have found on the pc when i run some firewall test (first result when I googled firewall test) when i ping port 7778 for example it fails the test on one count, reponding to the probe i think but there is no ping response so im not sure, i think i might have broken something on the modem thingy from flushing the firewall rules and stuff at some stage. nitroshift
At this point you might try updating the firmware. Pay extreme ATTENTION when updating the firmware, flushing with a wrong version will render your router useless!! To find an updated version, try google... That`s how i found mine. awergh
there is a default server option that i found that i set to the ipcop box which means the firewall test says there is a ping response but it doesnt matter too much now because ive been using hamachi except it doesnt support 98se which is a bit sad
