cumminbk
Alright i have a cable internet connection Whenever i enter standby my connect is immediately lost. Even if standby lasts only 1sec. I have only have this issue when using cable providers for my internet connection. When i use wireless i have no issue (i have my network card configured correctly). I have tried a few programs that claim to keep your connection from being dropped but all have failed. I have also tried a few methods to regaining my connecting without rebooting. All have failed. I would like to have standby setup where i do not have to reboot after standby to connect to the internet. ideas for a method to stay connected or a very simple way quick way to reconnect without rebooting? tain
Are you using a USB NIC? USB devices often have issues with standby.

cluberti
I'm pretty sure TAiN was suggesting connecting the USB modem to the computer via an ethernet cable rather than a USB cable as a test.
tain
Yes, that was my point. Using an ethernet cable might be your solution.
