jimc52 Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Sorry, I know I shouldn't double post...but I am not getting anyone to answer elsewhere. I didn't realize there was a separatenLite section here on the forum. Please forgive, but I would like an answer if possible....Hello everyone I just did a slipstream XP Pro + SP2 disk using nLite this weekend, with all hotfixes and security updates + drivers. My disk size grew to 680 MB and I was using a 700 MB CD total capacity. I was wondering, does it make anydifference if I do a bootable DVD?Everything I have read about slipstreaming talks about CD's...not a word about whether or not it will work on a DVD.Does anyone have an idea or clue? Thanks - Jim
Legolash2o Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 sometimes i use DVDs when i have to... so yep you can use them
wintertiger Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Absolutely, I integrate Office 07, SP2, DX9c, couple driverpacks, usually comes to about 2-3gb when I'm done with all the software I want installed... Can't wait to get one up to over 4gb and try a dual-layer disk. Should work, but I have no idea what I'd integrate to use that much space, maybe put both Server 03 and XP on one disk. I found the installation is faster off of DVD media anyway, seems to read it faster.
