Arie Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 I thought I would share this with you. Some updates which I didn't find listed on Tomcat76's list, but which I do include in my source.- KB907265 (MMC 3.0 Update)- KB917021 (Wireless Client Update)- KB922120 (LLTD Responder)- KB925720 (Windows CardSpace Hotfix Rollup Package)- KB936021 (Microsoft XML Core Services 3.0 Security Update)There are also new versions available of the following two updates, which are both outdated on the before mentioned list:- KB936357 (Intel Processors Microcode Reliability Update Version 2)- (Microsoft Update Catalog Engine) MuCatalogWebControl.cabThere are three more useful CAB-files which I include in the HFCABS-folder:- ultrashim.cab (Adobe Shockwave Player)- wuredist.cab (Windows Update Redistributable)- (Windows Update Engine) wuweb_site.cabI'm doubtful however if wuredist.cab is required, as the standalone Windows Update Agent 3.0 is included in the HF-folder?
the_guy Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 KB936021 is listed, just as KB936227. All other updates are optional, and, as such, will not be going in my list.KB936357 will be updated.the_guy
Tomcat76 Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I split this topic because it may be useful to other people. There are also new versions available of the following two updates, which are both outdated on the before mentioned list:- KB936357 (Intel Processors Microcode Reliability Update Version 2)Thanks. I just updated my XPSP2 list.- (Microsoft Update Catalog Engine) MuCatalogWebControl.cabThe link on my update lists still work. I just checked them and the version is the same as what you attached. There are three more useful CAB-files which I include in the HFCABS-folder:- ultrashim.cab (Adobe Shockwave Player)- wuredist.cab (Windows Update Redistributable)- (Windows Update Engine) wuweb_site.cabI'm doubtful however if wuredist.cab is required, as the standalone Windows Update Agent 3.0 is included in the HF-folder? I don't think that should be a concern for you because HFSLIP ignores all .CAB files in HFCABS that do not appear on my update list. HFSLIP only searches for CAB files with specific names in that folder.
Tomcat76 Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Yes, it updates 5 files that are already part of the Windows XP/2K3 source.
