October 25, 200718 yr lol! I've done that before, too. Sigh. You should be able to uninstall it through the control panel. Or, if it runs as a service, disable the service using services.msc until you can figure out the password.
October 25, 200718 yr Author not in add remove programs and dont have a clue as to what services.msc is. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME!!
October 25, 200718 yr (pardon my bad explanation ahead of time)A service is basically a program that runs all of the time, but in the background. You don't see it, but you might interact with it. To see what services are running, click Start > run and type services.msc. If you see some sort of "internet restriction thing-a-ma-bob" then try opening it and seeing if you can stop the service. Also, if it's just some random keyboard shortcut to open it, try looking on their website's help area, it might list the default. Alternatively, try going to C:/Program Files/<program name> and see if there is some file ending in .exe that might be the config utility and try opening it. If you don't know the name, it might jog your memory to check out the program files folder as instructed above. There may be a folder for it.
October 26, 200718 yr Is it Netlimiter by any chance? As for the key combination, try Ctrl+Shift+F10 or Ctrl+Alt+F10 (can`t remember exactly...)
October 26, 200718 yr Download Sysinternals AutoRuns. Run Autoruns.exe. Hit ESC as soon as the program loads. Goto Options -> Hide Microsoft Entries. Hit F5. Wait till scanning finishes. Look for suspicious/unknown program. Disable (uncheck) if needed. Reboot.
October 27, 200718 yr how about checking Task Manager? Ctrl+Alt+Del or right-click on the taskbar and choose Task Manager.
