Word 2000 Drop Down Box Question

My brain is fried trying to figure this out....any help is greatly appreciated.

Simply put I have a drop down list box. Whn protected I want it to have an arrow indoctaing it is a drop down list. Is there a macro or something I am just missing to be able to do this?? Please help!!

not sure of your problem. when you create a drop down field populate itand then protect it, produces a drop arrow to select your choice. this is in word 2003. what version are you using?

when you make the dropdown box make sure that you have "continuation choice list" enabled. See attachted image (i translated the option from dutch into english... I am pretty sure that it isnt the same name in english but you at least know what i mean )
