This would be of considerable interest to me as well.

Providing it could be converted from batch files to a make style build system, but I have a sneaky suspicious that's something I would have to do myself

Is this still available, gosh? Hopefully updated for SP3? Link you posted is dead. I know most of your interest and activity seems to be with Win 7 these days, but I know there is still a large interest in XP.

You'll have to settle for an alternate using HFSLIP.
