JACKIE123 Posted October 16, 2007 Share Posted October 16, 2007 I started a norton ghost cloning job on my Sata HDD and it failed, to boot into the windows partition - I deleted the temporary ghost partition and made my windows partition active, now I can boot into windows but my second partition (207 GB) is shown as unallocated, I think the data is still there how can I recover the partition, which will be the best tool to achive this ?? jaclaz Posted October 16, 2007 Share Posted October 16, 2007 If the partition data has not been overwritten (just the partition table), your best bet is TESTDISK:http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDiskIf, on the other hand, partition data has been overwritten behond recovery, you can still recover single files by using the accompanying PHOTOREC app.There are a number of other COMMERCIAL utilities, just search on the board for keyword "testdisk" to find similar threads and experiences.jaclaz Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
