ripken204 Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 well for the workstation cpu's i went with the quad and that may be better for you too. eventually programs will start to support quad core such as your audio/video editing programs and that can make things a hell of alot faster. just google Q6600 vs E6850 and you will find plenty of threads about it.
puntoMX Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Just a waist of money as I can see it...Like ripken204 said, the Core2 Q6600 would do fine, also go for a x35 or x38 RAID chipset and if you can wait a few months the x48 (All from Intel). For RAM I would pick 800MHz DDR2 (non-ECC) by the way...
