celtish Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 (edited) I got the message "Unable to write to drive C" on a blue screen after rebooting. I restarted again and all appeared to be fine. Why, why, why? Edited September 13, 2007 by celtish
Fungus Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Sounds like the onset of HD failure to me, run chkdsk on it, and also give the drive a checkup with the software from the manufacturer of the drive. If it's a SMART drive, there are apps to display the information aswell.
Ponch Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 If you've been opening the case recently, recheck the IDE and power cables on the HDD (check IDE at both sides).
