"Unable to write to drive C"

I got the message "Unable to write to drive C" on a blue screen after rebooting. I restarted again and all appeared to be fine. Why, why, why?

Sounds like the onset of HD failure to me, run chkdsk on it, and also give the drive a checkup with the software from the manufacturer of the drive. If it's a SMART drive, there are apps to display the information aswell.

If you've been opening the case recently, recheck the IDE and power cables on the HDD (check IDE at both sides).
