Cti Posted September 1, 2007 Share Posted September 1, 2007 I have a Sony and I have some sony app which I would like to be installed auto, now I am wondering about switches ?? I have tested this in a batch file and I can get the files to run, but where you have to go "next", to select your options the installer just stops there.Do switches like /Q or /Quiet work on all applications or just certain ones , I know there is also other ones which are probably needed Someone with some more knowledge on this topic help me out thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
IcemanND Posted September 1, 2007 Share Posted September 1, 2007 It all depends upon the installer type they are using. Check out the Unattended Guide (link at top of page) under Intermediate Users -> Applications for the most common installers and their switches. Another thing you can sometimes do is extract the files from the installer and many times you will find that there is an underlying MSI that you can use to do the install using MSIEXEC with the /QN switch and not need the EXE at all.
