August 28, 200719 yr Not only is MediaPortal free, it is Open Source!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaPortalThat being said, it is a rather heavy application if all you want is a slide show. Have you tried IrfanView? I'd be surprised if it doesn't do slideshows...but not sure if it has a media center-style interface or not.
