Guys, do anyone know if there was possible to recompile the TASKMGR.EXE

I mean - the orginal is just 87k big with many BMP images inside as Resourcehacker revealed, so, it should be possible, right?

I would like to be able to compile it myself, so I can tweak few things, like no request before killing the task and that it will run in high priority Anyone tried that?

PS. please do not argue about legality of the sources, I honestly don't care - what M$ do is illegal as well

You might tweak it visually too... I don't think anyone tried it... Also you could change it to display MBs instead of KBs in Mem Usage Tab...

Legally, no, you cannot. Source for Windows can be had under the shared source program if you so choose, but it's not for copying or recompiling, only for viewing the source when writing your own applications so your apps can theoretically be written better.
