iluvatar
Hi! HFSLIP is really a great tool. But I think I found a problem with slipstreaming IE7 with KB933566It looks like a version of urlmon.dll in KB933566 is 6.0.2900.3121 whilst in stock original IE7 it is 7.0.5730.11After running HFSLIP (no matter which type of IE integration) in resulting IE7_INST.EXE urlmon.dll version is 6.0.2900.3121.I think this might be the reason why, after installation with IE7SVCPACK=1, Internet Explorer doesn't work at all.It just shows an error message with possibility to send it to Microsoft. The faulting DLL name (mentioned urlmon.dll) I found in event log.Same version downgrade appears in mshtml.dll, wininet.dll and maybe others. After using IE7SLIPSTREAM=1 Internet Explorer works at first but without tabs. The error message starts appearing after logging as a different user.
the_guy
What's the filename for your KB933566 update? It should be IE7-WindowsXP-KB933566-x86-enu.exe.the_guy
Tomcat76
It looks like a version of urlmon.dll in KB933566 is 6.0.2900.3121 whilst in stock original IE7 it is 7.0.5730.11The version of urlmon.dll in IE7-WindowsXP-KB933566-x86-ENU.exe is 7.0.6000.20583.After running HFSLIP (no matter which type of IE integration) in resulting IE7_INST.EXE urlmon.dll version is 6.0.2900.3121.This is normally impossible. HFSLIP only slipstreams hotfixes of which the name starts with "IE7" into the new IE7_INST.EXE installer. The only way the new installer can contain a 6.0 version of urlmon.dll is when you used WindowsXP-KB933566-x86-ENU.exe but renamed it to IE7-WindowsXP-KB933566-x86-ENU.exe. iluvatar
Yes the name is IE7-WindowsXP-KB933566-x86-enu.exe ... because I named it so...You were right Tomcat76, it was most probably renamed WindowsXP-KB933566-x86-ENU.exeEarlier I was using /integrate to all hotfixes and in svcpack folder I had all them named like KB933566.exe I wrote a script to rename them like they are on http://users.telenet.be/tc76/winup/_winxpsp2.html and move to HFSLIP\HFSo it's my error, I thought KB933566 is just KB933566Now I've got to download all hotfixes again..Thank you both!
