Problem with themes

Featured Replies

When I booted up my PC yesterday I got the blue screen saying my disk needs to be checked for consistency. I'd already skipped this a few times and seeing as I was in no hurry I let it run. During the process I noticed it deleted a few files and then 'Restored orphan files'. After this I logged on and my theme wasn't working. I went to display properties to set the theme again and noticed only Windows Classic was available. I checked the Themes service was running and it wasn't when I tried to start it, it gave me the message 'The requested module could not be found'. I performed a repair installation of XP and it fixed it allowing me to use Luna and Royale themes but customized themes from websites still do not work and appear like windows classic.

I am running XP Pro

Thanks

you need to install a modified uxtheme.dll to enable unsigned theme support.
