I have just installed XP with my unattended installation.

Win XP, office 2003 and office profing tools.

Nero burning and about 10 other programs

document and settings has a size of 3 GB but is placed on the partition D:

But why does it need 8 GB on my C drive for windows and thoose few programs?????

Is that normal?

Are you sure that the profile on D: is not also being cached in C: ?. This can happen, along with all of the temp files. Do "set t" to see if your stuff is not also on c:

Open a command prompt.

type "set t" without the quotes.

look for where the TEMP variable is pointing to.

Note that even if the user data is on the D: drive, the stuff will be cached onto the c drive. Doing set t will tell if your user profile is being cached there, and if you need to take steps to remove it.
