koden Posted July 26, 2007 Share Posted July 26, 2007 (edited) I have just installed XP with my unattended installation.Win XP, office 2003 and office profing tools.Nero burning and about 10 other programsdocument and settings has a size of 3 GB but is placed on the partition D:But why does it need 8 GB on my C drive for windows and thoose few programs?????Is that normal? os2fan2 Posted July 30, 2007 Share Posted July 30, 2007 Open a command prompt.type "set t" without the quotes.look for where the TEMP variable is pointing to.Note that even if the user data is on the D: drive, the stuff will be cached onto the c drive.
