Oooooooooh, that's a good question!!

I'm assuming you mean to say, "Is there a way to keep Windows Update from installing (or showing as an option to install) the old MSN Messenger 4.7 when I've removed it with nLite?"

Well, the simple answer is "Yes, don't remove it with nLite." :P

But seriously, no I don't think there is. Maybe someone could come up with an addon to trick WU into thinking you have it installed when you don't. I always remove MSN 4.7 from my XP, and add Windows Live Messenger 8 onto it. But for some dumb reason, WU still lists it as an Optional Update. How retarded!!

The way, that´s working for me, is:

Switch off the autoupdate, use the manual update once and select "don´t show this update again".

I know it´s not a real solution, but at least a workaround.
