I get a colored border behind the letters... wanna get rid of it. I tryed tweak UI to rebuild the icons but it didnt work. I still got it.

In nLite's Tweaks section, look under Visual Effects for Use drop shadows for icons labels on the desktop. Enable it. I think that will do what you want.

this can also be done my right clicking on my computer > properties > advanced > performance > and click "use drop shadows for icon....." without reinstalling.

That is the way to enable them, but when the registry has been corrupted, or whatever happens that the drop shadows go away, even though they are enabled, have been disabled (Reboot), enabled (Reboot), and other things tried, what does one do. I have the same problem on a system, but need a registry hack or shatever it takes.

Anyone know the way out of this?
