Buttons Add/Remove Programs

Featured Replies

The buttons change/removes does not appear in the Add/Removes Programs in Windows XP SP2 PRO. What it can be?

You can buy software to remove software you don't want...

Uninstallers; You can many times find the unwise uninstaller

in the program files folder for the program you want to remove

Backup all your important files before doing anything...

Back them up to cd or dvd...

Somehow something has removed important registry settings

causing your buttons not to show up...

You can rebuild your installation or format and reinstall if it's

really bothering you...

Not sure I understand your question - can you clarify? Are the buttons missing for individual installations, or the buttons for, say, "Add Programs" or "Add or Remove Windows Components" are missing? If the first case, read the above post. Otherwise, there may be some group policy settings screwing things up. I don't remember where exactly in the policy it is, but I'll check at some point. PM me when/if I forget to do so.

When I go Uninstall any software the buttons change/remove I am not being shown.

That's because the registry entries that link to those buttons have become altered or, more likely, removed. A poorly designed registry cleaner will do that. Have you done that recently?

Not, I am not obtaining uninstall no software, you would know to say me what it occurs?

I can't mention a specific registry cleaner.

Do you have a System Restore point from before this occurred that you could revert back to?
