  1. I didn't Slipstream SP3 over my SP2 disk's so that's not the case.
  2. Normally when I re-install XP on a Dell or other large computer maker I will use CD Key Reader to get the vendor key, and use Compression Bin to re-compress the files - so they are OEMBIOS.BI_, etc. I put those four files into the I386 folder. When I have Service Pack 3 - it doesn't accept the key (that I got above) If I repeat and do it with SP2 - it works just fine and the install is already activated. Any ideas? Thanks.
  3. Thanks - I'll be using the official driver so I should be good to go. Thanks for your help.
  4. nuhi: Thanks. I'm not sure what you mean by "betas" though.
  5. I have a new computer on the way, and I have the following file with drivers I'd like to integrate. 93.71_forceware_winxp2k_english_whql.exe Can I extract all the files from the .exe via WinRAR and then point nLite to a "Multiple Driver Folder" - the folder being what I extracted? Or should I just install it once the install is done?
  6. Still no luck. Here is $OEM$. Volume in drive D is XP8 Volume Serial Number is F629-2F8A Directory of D:\$OEM$ 08/09/2006 01:57 PM <DIR> . 08/09/2006 02:16 PM <DIR> .. 08/09/2006 01:27 PM 94 cmdlines.txt 1 File(s) 94 bytes 2 Dir(s) 0 bytes free Contents of cmdlines.txt [Commands] "rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection nLite.inf,nLiteReg" "cscript cmdlines.vbs" Below is OEM. Volume in drive D is XP8 Volume Serial Number is F629-2F8A Directory of D:\OEM 08/09/2006 01:57 PM <DIR> . 08/09/2006 02:16 PM <DIR> .. 08/09/2006 11:03 AM 3,282,548 071_VMwareTools.exe 08/09/2006 01:25 PM 19 cmdlines.vbs 2 File(s) 3,282,567 bytes 2 Dir(s) 0 bytes free Contents of cmdlines.vbs 071_VMwareTools.exe I have a feeling this shouldn't be too hard to do.
  7. I am trying to use nLite to auto-install the VMWare Tools application. Since nLite automatically creates a cmdlines.txt file in $OEM$, I simpled added the: "cscript cmdlines.vbs" to the last line of the file. I have in the $OEM$ folder also, cmdlines.vbs. In it is: 071_VMwareTools.exe That application is then located in the $OEM$ folder. It launched two windows once I booted into XP forthe first time, but they closed before I got a chance to read them.
  8. I have a Windows Server 2003 SP1 image that I have used nLite to remove some of the unncessary stuff. However, when I boot up for the first time it asks to continue the installation by wanting to install R2. Is there any way to prevent this from starting?
  9. Got a quick question; I assume that's with an operating system installed; such as XP. I then do winnt32.exe /noreboot making sure I am in the directory where the setup is (probably doesn't matter) and then install. Where do I install to? A different partition or folder? And it won't reboot - I did it and it still rebooted.
