ive been tryna figure it out to hard that i didnt see that simple mistake thanks for help

hi, ive made a bootscreen using booteditor and im up to just before making it were i have to expand the 2 files (ntoskrnl.ex_ and ntkrnlmp.ex_) so in star and run i type J:\Dynamo\I386\ expand.exe ntoskrnl.exe -c but its not expanding it, any 1 know what imdoing wrong? thanks

hi, i used nlite to copy my origanal xp cd to a folder on my pc then to slipstream sp2 into it and then to slip stream hotfixes into it thats all i used nlite for and thenon the main site in advanced it has 'Folders considered safe to delete in your Windows Setup Source are: DOCS, VALUEADD, and SUPPORT. This will free up 22.3 MB or so. Let's go in further by navigating to the I386 directory with your Windows Setup Source. If you don't plan to use this CD to upgrade from a previous OS, you can delete the following folders: WIN9XMIG, WIN9XUPG and WINNTUPG. i dnt know if its after windows is installed or during the last few minutes of install but either way its not starting at all hence me asking for help!!!

hey, still carnt figure this out in regedit theres nothin i can copy or if there is then i dont understand it, dont want ot make a unatended istall and then go thru after putting in my serials before i can use anythin

hi, im using wpi to instal my programs and i want to know if i can auto register them/actiate them like i have with nero, in wpi for nero ive put in the box 'registry before' "[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Nero - Burning Rom\Info] "User"="Wicker Wolf" "Company"="Home use" "Serial6"="xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx"" and when it installs nero its then already registerd with my serial and info, how would i do this for other programs such as geovid dvd copy? to register this program i have to enter a serial and username so would it need to have a registry entry before installation similar to the 1 i did for nero? if so how would i make it? ive got it installed on this pc at the moment with all my activation info in it so could i copy a .reg file from my system to the wpi folder and then use it in the 'registry before' to auto activate this? thanks

hi on the main page tutorial it says "Start the setup application using the -R (case-sensitive) switch from command prompt. Setup.exe -R The setup screens will appear as they normally would, asking you questions as you go along, such as destination directory, etc. It's important that you do not choose the "Restart the computer now" option. If you do, you will terminate your batch when you run an unattended installation. After installation has completed, go to your C:\Windows\ (or C:\WINNT\) directory and take out the setup.iss file. Put this setup.iss file in the same directory where your application setup.exe file resides in." ive done this for both midinotate and for mindsoft utillities and neither 1 has made the setup.iss file in my C:\windows folder does any1 know whats gone wrong? thanks

Yzöwl 1 i wasnt sure which topid to post this in since i only joined here yesterday and ive read that tutorial again and again but how much of what is in the batch file is the comand lines is what im unsure of kelsenellenelvian thanks ill take a look atthem now Hey kelsenellenelvian thanks for the help, i roughly understand it now just in the examples the comand lines all have 2 fowardslashes in stead of 1 eg %cdrom%\\WPI\\Install\\dotnetfx2.exe and mine are like this %cdrom%\WPI\Install\Applications\bootskin\bootskin.exe /s could you tell me if mines right? Hey, i just want to clarify this if some1 could help, is the way you name the $OEM$ folder J:\XPCD\$OEM$ or J:\XPCD\OEM , ive got it as J:\XPCD\$OEM$ but ive just added my driver packs (Bâshrat the Sneaky's DriverPacks ) and its created a folder called J:\XPCD\OEM does this make any diference? Hi, ive got a set of 1000 fonts but kinda unsure of how to include these into my windows unattended setup, would it work if i put all the fonts into XPCD\$OEM$\$$\system32\fonts ??? thanks
