Airflow has all been planned out already, the dirty air is all taken care of, and the most pass overs any of the air has to do is 2 which is the used air comming out from the CPU heatsink then passing over 3 capacitors (And depending on the brand, and type of caps used they have a thermal rating of upto 85c sometimes a little more) and straight out the rear exhaust. And that is a very very small time space between the air comming out from the CPU heatsink and into the exhaust. Every cable is totaly out of the way wether its a IDE, sata or any other type. Everything big or small has been thought of for the best air flow and getting the key parts of the rig cool and stable under big overclocks.

"you really only need a rear exhaust, a side fan wont help that much either" Having just a rear exhaust and the CPU cooler is the worst idea ive heard of. (No offence) The 250mm side fan is working a treat i took it round to a reletive (He's been workign with all things electrical for 50 years, amongst many other things) and he did some tweaking to it. @Zxian, The 250mm fan is placed so the dead spot of the fan is were the CPU cooler draws its air in from so it doesnt hurt the performance, the CPU cooler (Artic freezer pro 7) then throws its hot air out to the rear exhaust. As any1 knows hot air rises so wether its a little hole in the top of the case or a big hole it all makes a difference. (Unless your rig is overclocked or alot of components/high end parts some people dont notice due to not alot of heat being generated) The Filter grill and 120mm fan on the top are placed more over the 5.25 rack then near the mobo so as any hot air pockets coming from the 4HDD's or the DVD/CD drives gets traped it can be exhausted thru there. I took the front bezel of the case and modded were the fan goes, it was made to take either a 90mm fan or a 120mm fan but bad desgn meant that the fan then had a mesh right in front of it and then another mesh on the front bezel before it got to the cold air. So now the inner mesh has gone and a 120mm fan placed in. All are rigged up to the multi power port and then to a custom control panel which allows me to alter the RPM and switch fans on/of, i fitted an Akasa AK-210 northbridge cooler (The stock northbridge heatsink was useless) and it makes more noise on its own then the 3 enermax ultra's the side fan and the CPU cooler put together!! Ive got the rig overclocked Intel core 2 duo E4300 @ 3.34Ghz - idle 25c, load 37c

Im in the midle of building a rig (its done, just got to get a new PSU before i overclock it) and got the Artic freezer pro 7 which works great idle temps are at 8 -14c and under full load 17-25c

Hey, Im currently building my new rig and rarther then buy a new case im going to mod the hell out of the one i have which is a XBLADE First of is the side window which at the moment has a 80mm fan on it, ill be cutting it and putting 1 of these 250mm Fans on there instead. Then on the rear & front ill be putting Enermax ultra's and on the top of the case ill be cutting a hole and placing 1 of these filters along with another Enermax fan on it. All hooked up to an Alphacool mp What would be a good setup for the 3 enermax fans? (Eg, front sucker, top sucker, rear - exhaust) ??? Thanks

Hey all, i finished setting up my new rig yesterday and have hit some issues The rig Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.80GHz (800FSB) Corsair 1GB DDR2 XMS2-5400C4 TwinX (2x512MB) Gigabyte GA 965P DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard Powercolor radeon PCI-E X600 I was doing some tests with ortheos to see the temps etc, do these look ok http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l144/wic...stTemps0001.jpg At the moment in coretemp its readin core 0 temp 36°c - core 1 temp 37°c. Arent hey a little to high given that im using the freezer 7 heatsink? Do you think i migh of used to much thermal paste? (if that could make the temps to high) Yet in easytune5 which came with the mobo its reporting cpu temp as 19°c Also ive had this BSOD happen twice SCREENIE It happend once yesterday when i was j ust browing round my HDD, and again today when i went to open coretemp. So both times i wasnt pushing the system or anything.

Hey, ive beeen using my latest unatended build now for the last 3 months or so, and have installed it 4 to=ime (maybe a few more) fine on single core pc's. Now yesterday i went to install it on a Core 2 duo e4300 and atthe 39 minutes section (pretty much as soon as the GUI apears after dos) is pops up error missing file and has to cancel install. So what is it that can cause this? I did strip some stuf out using nlite but nothing that effetcs dual cores to the best of my knowledge.

lol stupid sensors, if possible i want to avoid removing the heatsinks, at the moment the gpu sensor is turned of for now and the cpu sensor is above the heat sink with the end shoved between the grill on the heatsink but its not doin much good

hey all, new toy came 2day aerocool cool-panel ive set it all up etc now im just working out the best places to put the temp sensor wires i want 1 on the gpu and 1 on the cpu any1 know the best way of doing this?

Using ATI's catalyst is usauly fairly simple just go thru the display settings and set the tv as the primary display and in clone mode then it should work fine

Nothing its a good emu but si is jnes, fwnes, nesticle, rocknes etc theres no "best" nes emu just some work best with certain roms eg battle of olympus plays perfectly on fwnes and jnes but badly on alot of other nes emu's

i doubt its got anything to do with the air hose, if anything its the settings within the bios are still set to take your old cpu so the need ressetting and then changeing to your new cpu settings, a bios update would be the first thing to do

although looking back thru the magazine now theve done all this with stock heatsink and a case thats got no were near as much cooling as mine and as for "back then" it was in this months eddition of pcformat magaizne, yeah amd 64 x2 was my origanal choice anyway just seeing that in the magazine made me ponder

hey, ive made a silent istall for this but how can i have it so its the default program for opening .pdf files automatically without haing to open the program first and set it to the default pdf viewer?
