  1. I am using WPI 8.0.3 and have an issue with all the tick boxes being selected by default despite setting dflt[pn]=['no']; in the config.js file for each application. This may be something I'm missing but can anybody help / advise?
  2. Hi, I wondered if anyone can help. I've just stumbled onto this tool and it looks quite handy. I have two questions, if this is the wrong post I apologise and if these questions have come up before please forgive me as I am a noobie: 1. Does the tool (with the driverpacks) work under Windows 2000? The reason I ask is whenever I run the tool it doesn't seem to update / install any drivers. 2. When I run the tool it extracts all the drivers and then demonstrates the follwoing error: "Error in Syssetup.dll" "Missing entry:UpdatePnpDeviceDrivers" Can anyone help? Thanks in advance error1.bmp
  3. Hi zorphnog, If I open explorer it runs OK. If I click START then RUN and put the path in as specified previously in the script I experience the same error. I have managed a workaround which involves: 1. Copy the files into a folder on the desktop. 2. Install the Citrix Client 3. Sleep for about 20 secs to allow the silent install to finish. 4. Delete the folder on the desktop.
  4. Hi Guys, I'm having a problem trying to install an old version of the Citrix ICA Client through WPI 6.3. I am getting the following error: "Can't run 16-bit Windows program - Cannot find file Z:\WPI\Install\Citrix\setup.exe (or one of its components). Check to ensure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available." My CONFIG.JS looks like the one below: pn=1; prog[pn]=['Citrix ICA Client']; desc[pn]=['Installs the Citrix ICA Client']; uid[pn]=['ICA']; dflt[pn]=['no']; cat[pn]=['Applications']; forc[pn]=['no']; configs[pn]=['Citrix']; cmd1[pn]=['"%wpipath%\\Install\\Citrix\\setup.exe"']; pn++; Can anybody help?
  5. Thanks zorphnog, I'll give that a go.
  6. I've been trying to change the default white font used in WPI when you create a list of applications, is this possible? How can it be done?
  7. Thanks zorphnog for your help so far. What is the "Unattended" mode and do you know where is it documented please? Thanks Waster656
  8. I am a newbie to WPI and it looks great. However; I have a couple of questions: 1. What command line syntax is supported and how can I start WPI in unattended mode? 2. Once I have removed the "Options", "config", etc items from the left side how do I re-instate them? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Waster656
  9. Hi Guys, I have been led to believe that there are two registry keys that can be modified in Windows Server 2003 that fool it into thinking it is Windows XP. Is this true? Does anybody know the keys and values? The reason I need to know is we have some backup software which only runs on Windows XP or 2000 and we would like it to protect our Windows Server 2003 machines. By setting these keys I can install the client software for this application. Any help would be appreciated. Waster656
  10. Thanks guys looks like you have confirmed my thoughts and thanks for the link to the batch file ner.
  11. Hi! I am in the process of rolling out all the necessary hotfixes in our organisation. The trouble is my company will not pay for a third party software solution or invest the manpower in researching WSUS. So I need to produce a compact disc with all hotfixes post Windows XP SP2. All the client PC's will be at differing hotfix levels. I have read the MS documentation on this. Is it just a case of downloading all hotfixes to a network share or CD and create a batch file to perform an unattended, silent install of each hotfix one by one? What happens when a hotfix has already been installed, will the batch file continue installing the remainder? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Waster656
