  1. Ok. I have removed most of the files in the \I386\update folder and edited the svcpack.inf file accordingly. I also made sure my hotfixes.cmd was updated as well. Here are all the file names in that I have left in the \I386\update folder: eula.txt KB826939.cat qchain.exe spcustom.dll update.exe (version is 5.3.23.4, if it matters) update.inf update.ver Is there anything that doesn't need to be there or anything missing? Here is what my svcpack.inf looks like now: [Version] Signature="$Windows NT$" MajorVersion=5 MinorVersion=1 BuildNumber=2600 [SetupData] CatalogSubDir="\i386\Update" [ProductCatalogsToInstall] KB826939.cat [SetupHotfixesToRun] update.exe -q -n Is this correct? Another quick question, is DirectX9b included with SP2?
  2. So, do I remove the Update folder all together? Also, what do I do about the svcpack.inf file? Just delete everything there?
  3. Hello all. I am not sure where to go from here. I have downloaded the RC1 of SP2. I used this command - SP2\i386\update\Update.exe /integrate:C:\XPCD and successfully integrated SP2 into my C:\XPCD directory. Now here is where I seem to be at a loss and can't find anything about what to do next. In my C:\XPCD\I386\update directory, what do I do with all of the hotfixes there? SP2 should eliminate the need for all (at least most) of the hotfixes in this directory, correct? Obviously, I would need to update the svcpack.inf file as well. What hotfixes do I need to remove? Here is what is in my svcpack.inf file: [Version] Signature="$Windows NT$" MajorVersion=5 MinorVersion=1 BuildNumber=2600 [SetupData] CatalogSubDir="\i386\Update" [ProductCatalogsToInstall] KB826939.cat [SetupHotfixesToRun] update.exe -q -n Q828741.exe /Q /U /N /Z Q327979.exe /Q /U /N /Z Q814078.exe /Q:A /R:N Q814995.exe /Q /U /N /Z Q817787.exe /Q:A /R:N Q819696.exe /Q /U /N /Z Q822603.exe /Q /U /N /Z Q823182.exe /Q /U /N /Z Q824105.exe /Q /U /N /Z Q824141.exe /Q /U /N /Z Q824145.exe /Q:A /R:N Q825119.exe /Q /U /N /Z Q828035.exe /Q /U /N /Z Q829558.exe /Q /U /N /Z Q831167.exe /Q:A /R:N Q832483.exe /Q:A /R:N Q832894.exe /Q:A /R:N Q835732.exe /Q /U /N /Z Q837001.exe /Q /U /N /Z Q837009.exe /Q:A /R:N Q840374.exe /Q /U /N /Z qchain.exe Can someone please tell me what I need to do next? Also, I am using a modified uxtheme.dl_ file. Will this (works great with SP1) need to be updated for SP2? Anything else I need to know about? I appreciate everyones help! This board is awesome and I am continually learning a lot!
  4. In the registry tweaks section there are multiple entries about disabling the search dog. The tweak works find if you search from Windows Explorer or from the Start menu. However, if you click on the search icon in Internet Explorer that stupid dog appears. Anyone know how to enable that dog entirerly?
  5. How does one go about extracting these files from the Ac60PrP1.exe file?
  6. What would the entry be for Detail view?
