  3. Hi guys

After getting a lot of demand for a Basic version of my theme "Vista Blue for Vista", I'm proud to announce my new theme "Vista Blue RTM".

Its a revised version of "Vista Blue for Vista":

So now Windows Vista Basic users can also enjoy this theme. :)

    ABOUT:

I have created this theme for "Windows Vista Basic" users who can't use "Aero" in their systems and are forced to use the Vista Basic theme. It also contains a version for Aero which is same as "Vista Blue for Vista".

    HOW TO USE:

    1. Download "VistaGlazz" and run it to allow Vista to use 3rd party themes:

    Website: http://www.codegazer.com/vistaglazz.htm

    Standalone: http://www.codegazer.com/downloads/VistaGlazz.exe

    Installer: http://www.codegazer.com/downloads/VistaGlazzSetup.exe

    2. Extract the contents of RAR file to:

    %windir%\Resources\Themes\

    3. Now right-click on Desktop and select "Personalize" and then click on "Theme". Now select "Vista Blue RTM by Vishal Gupta" from the drop-down box and then apply it.

    NOTE FOR VISTA AERO USERS:

It'll apply the Aero theme by default. If you want to use the "basic" version which I made specially, then change it from:

[Windows Color and Appearance -> Open classic appearance properties for more color options]

And select the Basic version from the list and then apply.

I hope you all will like this theme as you liked all my previous themes.

Please give your valuable feedbacks. :P

  4. Hi friends,

I'm glad to announce my second skin "Leopard Safari" for Maxthon 2.x browser. I have tried to make Maxthon look-a-like Safari browser which has been recently released by Apple.

Just download the zip file, extract its contents and then double-click on "Leopard Safari.m2s" file and Maxthon will automatically install and apply it.

For the best experience, disable unwanted toolbar and buttons, disable Windows Frame and make your maxthon look-a-like in the screenshot:

    t12.jpg

To make the task easier I have included 2 extra files "Config.ini" and "ui.xml" in this pack. Just copy them to following folder:

    %programfiles%\Maxthon2\SharedAccount\Config

This folder will already contain the same files, so replace them with these new files. Now open Maxthon and your toolbars, buttons, etc will be automatically set like Safari.

I hope you'll like it. Please don't release or share modified versions of this skin without asking my permissions.

  5. Microsoft researchers are developing a mobile platform with a touch screen system that is double sided and appears transparent, allowing users to manipulate content with their thumbs and fingers wrapped around the device.

Microsoft isn't officially saying what the gadget -- called LucidTouch -- is for, but its form factor suggests it could be used as an ultra-mobile PC or PDA. Photos of a prototype appearing on a Microsoft researcher's Web site show the device being used as a GPS unit and a gaming platform, among other things.

    1LucidTouch.jpg

Users can interact with LucidTouch by touching the front or the back of the device. A feature called pseudo-transparency creates an on-screen silhouette of fingers wrapped around the back to ease navigation. The feature "allows users to accurately acquire targets while not occluding the screen with their fingers and hand," says Microsoft researcher Patrick Baudisch, in an undated blog entry describing the device.

    3LucidTouch.jpg

Baudisch says early tests on the prototype revealed that "many users found touching on the back to be preferable to touching on the front, due to reduced occlusion, higher precision, and the ability to make multi-finger input."

Microsoft has not provided a release date for the device. The photos suggest that some prototypes are being co-developed by Hewlett-Packard's Compaq division, which has worked with Microsoft in the past on Tablet PCs.

Microsoft in the past has struggled to introduce computers with unconventional form factors. Its operating system and software support of Tablet PC, which allows users to input commands using a stylus, has developed only a niche following. Early versions of Tablet PC suffered from hand writing recognition glitches.

Later this year, Microsoft is expected to introduce a system, known as Milan, which features a touch screen about the size of a small coffee table.

  6. Orkut, the social networking site now has a new look. The site has come up with several changes since its inception.

Orkut has brought people closer to each other and users can now tell the world their story as to how the site has helped them. When users change their profile picture, they can crop it as per their requirements. The format of sending scraps has also been enhanced. Now, users can add pictures and videos as against the earlier form of text scraps. Thus birthday wishes can be uploaded on YouTube and this video can be attached to so the friend can experience a live birthday wish. When a user views their friends list of communities, there is a new tab “mutual communities” where common communities between the user and the friend can be viewed.

The interface displays security tips for users.

    mtv_doodle.jpg

Users in the United States of America have the additional tab “friends map”. The user just has to click on the area and can see friends in that area.

Orkut users can now start blogging as Orkut have promised to introduce a new feature for blogging.
