Hi, When you first install Windows XP, the very first time you access the Windows folder, you get the daft message that "these files are hidden", and you have to click "show the contents of this folder". Is there a reg hack or something to stop this silly message, and just show the contents of the Windows folder? Cheers, Gray

Hi, Anyone had this problem? I've integrated KB917734_wmp10.exe into my unattended install, and everything seems ok. Then when I check the iso with VMWare and go to the WU, it tells me that 917734 still requires downloading..!

Windows key + B works fine in XP, but NT is a different story. Surely there must be a hotkey for this somewhere???

Shift + F10 is just for right click of a mouse I think... I need to actually access the icons just to the left of the time in the task bar and right click that. Anyone know the keystroke in NT4 to give focus to the task bar?

Hi everyone, In Outlook 2000, my "Personal Folders" are listed right at the top of the folder list (just below my "Archived Folders". I'd prefer "Outlook Today" and all the related folders to be at the top, as it indeed used to be, but for some reason the order has changed. Does anybody know how I can change the sort order? Hi, Is it possible to re-arrange the "Folder List" in Outlook 2002? My folder list used to be sorted alphabetically, but now my "Personal Folders" folder has somehow moved itself to the top above everything else. When I try and view my winntbbu.dll, Xpreview tells me that it can't open it because some bitmaps and strings are missing. I know they're missing, I've taken them out! I thought this version of Xpreview still worked even with missing resources? Gray

Hi everyone, I've been using the unattended CD for ages now and have recently integrated SP2. All good stuff, but... If I create a new user account and give it a password, whenever I log on I get the logon message "The system could not log you on..." Anyone know what's causing this? Cheers, Gray

Hi, /silent runs the unattended install, but when it completes a "System must be rebooted" window appears and you have to click "OK" to continue... Anyone know a way round this? Thanks, Gray

OK. my fault, I hadn't set the window to show all file types... So how do I convert the _dl file into a dll file to edit in resource hacker?

Thanks for that glitterglue, much appreciated. I used the fabulous msfn unattended method to make my CD, but I couldn't find any reference anywhere to how to remove that particular icon. It seems like a fair bit of code just to remove it! Thanks again.

Why can't I find the file syssetup.dll in my i386 folder??? It's in my normal Windows folder, but not in the special created unattended install one, so I can't even try anf get rid of the "registering components" etc. nonsense... Gray

Has anyone figured out how to get rid of the "set up will complete in" or at least change the timings to reflect the fabulous MSFN unattended install? I've got it all working well, I just don't want the other stuff on screen. All I would like ideally, is a different picture and the green bar on the bottom left. Anyone cracked it yet? What about all the font sizes? I could have a fiddle with it if I had the time, trial and error stuff, I imagine the 400 and 700 bits change the font weight (as in normal HTML). What about the colours? Gray
