I still think they are seperate. My unattended CD loads WGA, but I do not install the Notification. (KB905474) and when I go to Windows Update, it is still listed as a critical update.

KB920872 was available on my Thinkpad. It is a sound card related update. My test machine did not have the sound drives installed so the update did not show up. Short list this month.

I have hidden the Windows Genuine Advantage Notification from the Critical Updates list. I now want to hide this update in my Unattended CD. Does anyone know where this setting is stored? I found the entries now. It is under WGANotify and not KB905474 I integrated KB905474 into my uninstall CD. It appears that none of the %WINDIR%\$NtUninstall%Update%$ are actually required when supressing hotfixes. The only necessary entries are the .log files and the registry entries. I just checked my registry and it doesn't create the Add / Remove entries in the registry either. I think the entries are created in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon\Notify\WGALogon So chances are, you cannot use this method to supress KB905474

Use MakeCab and ModifyPE to compress the file and correct the Checksums
