Please help !! I want to format my hard disc ( been 2 years ) The last computer geek that upgraded my computer installed XP Pro ! Since I don't have the disc for XP Pro , I want to revert back to my XP Home !

I insert the disk - and it says I can't revert back to XP Home !! Please help ! Also , why do I have only one disc of XP Home - shouldn't there be several ??

if you have the disk you need to set the first boot device in your BIOS to the cd/dvd drive (press del on startup for BIOS)

then start with the cd in and it will say "press any key to boot from cd..." press a key and proceed.

no delete the partitions (using the D key) and confirm it with enter ang then L and then select to setup windows on the new partition you made

beware! this will erase all data on your hard drive! good luck oh and welcome to the forums
