  1. As far as I could test it, everything works to perfection! Nice one! Thanx a million!!!
  2. Thanks Salawinder, I'll wait for as long as it takes! Bye for now.
  3. Hi All, As you will have noticed Nero 7.5.1.1 is out and the previous script works no more I tried to adjust the old script both in terms of the page ordering, which has changed significantly, and mouse clicks - the numbers there have also changed - to no avail... So here's my plea: does anyone know how to fix this? I've attached my modified, non-working script below in the hopes that it may serve as an inspiration to others, but sadly it gets stuck right after the programme is extracted! Salawinder? Glowy? Sanjay? Anyone? PLEASE HELP!!! Wrong_Nero7.5.1.1_Script.au3
  4. Hi TD, I still haven't been able to test your recommendations: I'm going to try both, because if copying the file also overrides the preexisting one, the syntax will be useful for me in other programmes! About getting bold within a quote, well there is an order as to what should be added first: 1. bold, italic, etc.. 2. colour; 3. size; 4. quote!
  5. Thanks again, I'll try that and get back to to you as soon as possible.
  6. Hi ScubaSteve, Thanks for your swift reply, but unfortunately I don't know enough about computers to be able to follow your instructions You wrote: 1.What should the batch file contain, that is, what syntax? 2.What should be it's extension? .Cmd? 3.Where should it be placed? In the same folder as the application in point, i.e. in this case, in the ZAP folder alonside the programme itself? 4.How do I call it on my Runonce? This is what I have now (with no batch file): REG ADD %KEY%\059 /VE /D "ZoneAlarm PRO" /f REG ADD %KEY%\059 /V 1 /D "%PP%\ZAP\ZAP.exe /s /i /noreboot" /f I know that asking for the syntax is probably too much, but if you can point me to a place where I can get instructions, I'd be more than happy! Thanks again, Sangi
  7. Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me: I have a general question : How can I copy a file, say into C:\Windows\system32, overriding a pre-existing one? Here is a sample case: When I install ZoneAlarm Pro, it automatically installs a trial license file zllictbl.dat into C:\Windows\system32, but I'd like to replace it with my licensed zllictbl.dat so that the licensed version is unattendedly installed. How can I do this? PLEASE HELP!
  8. Djé, Your script is perfect and I'm glad to have been of some help in testing it! THANX
  9. Hi Djé and everyone else, I've been trying to use Djé's perfect Babylon 5 script as a basis for Babylon 6, but it didn't work, just as I expected... I know nothing of scripting so all I did was a little exercise in copy/paste, as well as minor changes where I thought they were applicable, but they were obviously wrong. I only got as far as page 1, and after that the dialogue boxes wouldn't move unless I clicked them. Unfortunately it's just too complex for me... So now I was wondering if Djé or anyone else feels that they might be willing to help me out. PLEASE!! Well here's what I did : 1. I installed Babylon 6 and took note of the pages' headings, first line and choices, and this is what I came up with (NB. Anything after semi-colons are just comments); As you can see, it's quite different from Babylon 5; far shorter and with slightly different choices. Where there is a bracket with (default) it means that these are the choices that will be made if I just click next at the bottom of the page, and where you read [-> No] it means that I wanted to change the default settings. 2. And here is the script I came up with (I edited some of Djé's instructions/ comments out for better visibility):
  10. elajua Thanx for you explanation. After reading it, however, I have one or two doubts. You say: (1).In my previous Acrobat SFX, which functions really well, but which was NOT activated, I added the serial to the MST produced by InstallShield Tuner for Acrobat, and that part went fine. For this ACTIVATED version, do I have to edit Abcpy.ini or can I go on doing what I was doing before? (2).I did not copy any registry for my non-activated version, do I have to this time? Or do I simply ignore steps 1) and 4) , just adding the license .dat file to my SFX? (3). I followed your instructions and located the .dat file, but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with it. Am I supposed to add it alongside the other files in my Admin Installed Acrobat folder before making the SFX, i.e. before clicking Add to Archive on my WinRar? If so, does it just go with all the other existing files or does it go into a specific folder? Thanks again!
  11. In my WINNT.SIF, AutomaticUpdates=yes is indeed under [Data] but UnattendSwitch="yes" is under [unattended]. I don't know if this makes a difference, but then it might....
  12. payskin, You ask: I should think so since it is exactly what I used. I added it to mt SVCPACK and then added the following line to my SVCPACK .INF: Good Luck
  13. salawinder, I realize the script is yours, so I appologise for not making this clear enough. The thing is you both came up with scripts as you updated them, so that I rather ruthlessly referred to them according to whoever had done the posting. Sorry!
  14. Guys, You've lost me now : 1. Whatever the mistake was on Glowy's last scripts, all I want to know is whether it would affect Nero's performance, does it? 2. As I understand it the previous scripts seemed to have a problem regarding different options: i.e. different options would lead to different outcomes, so here's a copy of my options: And I seem to have got most of what I wanted: (i) Nero StarSmart, Nero Express, Nero SoundTrax, Nero WaveEditor, Nero Burning ROM, Nero CoverDesigner, Nero CD-DVD Speed, Nero DriveSpeed, Nero ImageDrive, Nero InfoTool, Nero ProductSetup, and they're all working! (ii) Neither Nero Home nor Scout are anywhere in sight. (iii) As for AutoPlay, is that the thing that when you load a CD into the computer it gives you the option to open it with Nero? If so, it has not been installed, and here's my feedback: NO I DON'T NEED IT! (iv) Shortcuts: as mentioned earlier, I bypassed the Script and solved it via my Cleanup.cmd (Both Quicklaunch and Nero Scout). Now, here's what I want to know: what is the difference between Glowy's two last scripts? Apart from the seemingly embarrassing mistake, of which I was, am and wish to remain blissfully unaware, what has changed? PLEASE let me know!
  15. salawinder & Glowy, Thanks again! Now here's my feedback: Glowy: As you suggested, I added to the last line of the script, and it worked: no more Nero Scout taskbar! But as you yourself mentioned, the Nero Scout Start menu link is still there... salawinder: Your last sript eliminates the Nero Scout Start menu link, but the taskbar is still there. As Mavericks Choice mentioned, neither script add a shortcut to quicklaunch (NB. The script was duly edited to (y) for that option). So, I cheated : since I know nothing of script writing I used Glowy's last one and deleted/added the above mentioned shortcuts through my Cleanup.cmd. With no knowledge of script writing, I simply wouldn't be able to deal with the taskbar issue.
