I got this message yesterday while i was installing MS Office 2007 with WPI The only way for me to get out of this error was to create a cmd file then to start setup.exe etc... into this cmd file ! Then, when i tested the installation : i got no error May be due to WPI, i really don't know, but, putting setup.exe into cmd file, then calling this cmd file with WPI : run for me Best regards

Thats true: also for me, i had the pb with splitstreaming with Vista than when i try under Win Xp SP2 : no pb with VLK Lincence !! If it can help some other people ! Great to be continued

Hi, When the first step of installation ended (uncompress image, etc...) The installation gives me this error windows could not set the offline local information error 0x800000001 So there is a problem...

Hi, I try this this morning, but nothing work ! Windows vista ask me again that there is not enough memory I put the DLL file in dvdsource\sources\ : nothing Then i mount the install.wim and replace the original one : dvdources\mount\windows\system32\oobe\ : nothing Windows doen't install itself MayBe did we need to put this dll file into the Boot.wim ? If anyone try this, please share a little simple tuto for others !! PS : i try just an other release shared by a friend, i copy the sources files then when i look in with Vlite : 256 mb was fixed automatically but when i look in my release, 256 Mb is fixed to default and doen't accept to be fixed in 256 mb at all It's strange !! Thanks for whom who can help me !! Best regards

Hi eveybody... I've just try another test, i just copy the Boot.wim coming from a little release shared by a friend This relase can install itself with only 256 mb. So i copy this boot.wim into my original DVD source, then create a new ISO without using Vlite I try to boot then no problemo !!!! so it seems to be something into the Boot.wim ! I am installing Windows Enterprise now... so i turn back to you if i got some more info Ciao

I guys, Just some news : I tried to capture with imageX Vista with the known command lines !!!! Before, under vista, just before rebooting, i do a : sysprep /oobe /generalize /reboot /unattend:c:\temp\config.xml then i capture the image Ive read on a board, that, ive to replace the new Install.wim over the older, on DVD Source, then create iso dvd then try : echec for me !!! I would like to know, really, if it is possible, to create a capture of an OS pre-installed (like vista),then to replace it into the native DVD, and it will works ! For me its strange When you say that we can create a DVD bootbale threw BDD 2007, ok, have you got a little tuto for me to try out and finally to say ; great it workd fine ! Hi everybody, Here is my little problem, i wish i am in the good session of the forum So, lets begin : we are deploying Windows Vista Enterprise on workstation DELL with MS Office 2007 Pro plus Adobe Reader 8 .. We install Vista Enterprise from the original DVD, then we install all the app we need (MS Office,etc..) Now we have got a reference workstation that can be deployed . (we also integrate severals drivers) What we did : We launch a "sysprep /oobe /generalize /shutdown" Then we used a WinPE boot CD to capture a wim file on a usb disk "imagex /capture c: e:\wista.wim "Windows Vista Enterprise VL" /COMPRESS fast /CHECK /VERIFY" The image wim was created ! We want to deploy this image by DVD Bootable ! We are blocked now !! We try every this to create dvd iso but nothing work ! My first question : with my exemple below, is there anybody who try this method and succeed to build a dvd bootable Does it really work ? : creating full WIM image !? When we tryied to build a dvd bootable, when we launch the dvd, it ask us : unable to find d:\sources\install.wim ! When we try to open the wim with image manager : echec can't create catalog !! Please, if someone can help me to find a good way to do what i need ! Thanks a lot Best regards

I've just test this : everything is good I modify the winntbbu.dll and also uncompress/compress the winntbbu.dl_ Eveything is working Thank' s a lot And i think it can help some other people ! Bye

Hello, I have some problems when i modify the WINNTBBU.DLL of Windows 2003 server ! I user the program : ResHarcker v 3.4.079 to edit this file. Then to modify the DLL BMP, i go into the Bitmap sesion then into the "123" folder the i click on "1036" to modify the BMP : i receive an error : " Violation d'acccès à l'adresse 00402791 dans le module 'ResHacker.exe". Ecriture de l'adress 01930000" So impossible to edit and change the BMP The same when i uncompress the WINNTBBU.DL_ : same error In fact, this file seems to be protected, is there a way to modify the BillBoard of MS Win2k3 server or not ?
