So why exactly are these people saying their silent stripped setup is working? Is it really working for them and simply not really working for us? or does it work under circumstances.. hmm.. im so confused. Now that there isn't anymore nero lite or micro, I gotta do this on my own.

so dreamline, your problem was your installation never completed? so it does begin, but it doesn't end, right? I might have had the same issue, but i don't get any error message / popup or anything at all since i use the silent switch. btw, via this method, will it install that...annoying nero 9.... uhm.... **** what do you call that? there was this annoying bloatware stuff.. i forgot what it was

Can anyone post a 100% tested and working guide for 9.4.13.2 setup for just the main application and express. I don't think anything else is needed. commandline nero program would be good if it can be included. Many thanks and appreciation. I have tried many guides here to no avail. Setup does nothing, or stalls or something like that, I forgot.

XP SP3, and I need the user variable only after windows is installed, that means, past-installation, where the start button is clickable. I'll take a look at WMIC. I'll do whatever method's most convenient. Just so you know, SEE_MASK_NOZONECHECKS=1 disables security warning message when opening .vbs scripts. I personally find it annoying and unnecessary. Nothing more to it.

how do i add user variables such as %temp% or %tmp%, which already exist in all windows systems. I wish to add SEE_MASK_NOZONECHECKS=1 into my unattended windows, but i have no idea how. does anybody know?

ive tried several methods here, one is the extracted, and ones the long params on the main file. well, nothing hapepns, nothing gets installed. i see a msiexec.exe runing in background, but thats there for a long period. no cpu usage.

i see that, when i right click .cue, .iso and such files... there's a context menu item called &Apri seems associated with nero. whats that? english version here. i wouldnt want to have that.

Something's weird. So it's actually been working as it had always been with installing vcp, qt4vcp, mpc, winamp(audio ticked) and running mpc with /regvid. i also use ryanvm + redxii pack and boogy's wmp11 integration. so im talking about a clean format here. problem is when you open an mp3 file, it doesn't have a default file assoc. you gotta select a program which defaults to mpc. That's so strange. If i were to open both programs, the file associations are correct. I need to manually untick fileassoc and reassociate them. whats up with that? Im not too sure when this started, it took me a while to realize this issue exists.

does anybody know if nero 9 actually requires patent activation as compared to nero 8 which im not sure if required it?

ive downloaded that, i selected the runonce mode, but it made a .cab file if ive not mistaken. ive been installing nero via switches rather than integrating them...

ive been trying.. can i use this as a silent installer? are there switches like /silent /serial=?-?-? /novc2005 /nodesktopicons /noexpress or something like that?

Nope, I don't want chinese gui, actually to tell you the truth, i don't even know what it does, maybe it supports writing chinese filenames to disks...ive been using nero 8 micro with asian support over here, without knowing what it actually does, haha... some people whom i setup pcs for will probably burn chinese filenames. if english is able to do so, then i dont really care.. please enlighten me.

would you be able to create one for chinese simplified/traditional?
