  1. I have a problem with unregistering codecs when using INF's for uninstallation of a codec-pack. If I remove the section where the files get deleted the codecs get unregistered just fine, so it seems as if the files get deleted before the unreg-process is finished. Any clues ? /Magnus [TBGUninst] UnregisterDlls = TBG.Dll UpdateInis = DelWMV9.Links, DelFFDShow.Links DelReg = MPEG4.DelReg, AC3.DelReg, FFDShow.DelReg, Codec.DelReg DelFiles = MPEG4.Copy,MPEG2.Copy, TBG.Copy.Inf, AC3.Copy, OGG.Copy, Xvid.Copy, FFDShow.Copy, Codec.CopyFiles.DLL, Codec.CopyFiles.WV9 Deldirs = %49300% [TBG.dll] 11,,mpg4ds32.ax, 1 11,,ivivideo.ax, 1 11,,DivX_c32.ax, 1 11,,ac3filter.ax, 1 11,,OggDs.dll, 1 11,,xvid.ax, 1 11,,ffdshow.ax, 1
  2. Mine was truncated and no, it didn't work (for me anyway). /Magnus

  4. Got it ! Had to change Bitmap 153 as well....
  5. XP Pro with Sp1 slipstreamed running an unattended install, multi version per Gosh's instructions In "Gosh XP" you don't have setup.exe... but I took a winntbbu into my old setup and no images there either... Do you need both the packed one (.dl_) as well as the unpacked (.dll) !? Some odd sh-t that is... Put both files .dll .dl_ in the old setup, run Setup.exe and it works just fine. Try the same thing on Gosh's version in WMWare.... no-nothing.
  6. yeah, it was... I downloaded one of your files and it didn't work either...
  7. Does this work in WMWare ? I tried to alter my winntbbu.dll file (compressed it and replaced the old one), but it won't show the image. I downloaded an existing modded file with the same problem. Any ideas ? Thanks, Magnus
  8. Been there done that :/ Are you doing the single option version or the menu based one ? I ended up making a new setupldr.bin for each oh the three (VOL 1-3) and also a new VOLX.DAT for them as well. After that it worked just fine. I also had som initial problems with only getting one directory... for som reason I got only one ehen choosing a install directory other than the default one, choosing just "c:\" left me with two. Yes, just as you normally would. Cheers, Magnus
  9. I probably forgot something but... I made a CD following your decription and at the reboot I select nr 2 for my unattended install... It says something on the screen like "disk.... no emulation.... NTLDR missing" Then I get a Windows boot menu where Setup is default and a delaytime of 3-4 seconds... then it halts complaining about a missing hal.dll Any ideas ? /Magnus
  10. Using Gosh's guide to reduce the size of the install as well as having several options... my DOSNET.INF file is now gone. Can I simply copy one from an old XP-cd, or have I lost that feature by making an anorectic XP ? Thanks, Magnus
  11. "V2.0 (August 20, 2003): Updated to include details of an additional patch for versions of DirectX. V2.1 (August 20, 2003): Added clarification regarding additional patch in Technical description section. " Check the creation date for the latest one... would be the one with the highest revision number. But, don't bother with the patch... If you're making a new CD just getDX 9.0b. /Magnus
